About Internship

Today there is a growing number of university graduates and college students wish to pursue careers in financial planning after graduation. To practice financial planning in Malaysia you need to first complete the CFP® certification programs or other necessary qualification, click here to find out more. In addition financial planning is a regulated activity by Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM) and Securities Commission (SC), upon complete the required qualification you need to obtain license from respective authority before starting your practice.

The financial planning profession requires a wide array of skills involving aspects of psychology, counselling, leadership, marketing, and motivation. Financial knowledge alone is insufficient, graduates are required to equip with leadership, communication, problem solving skills and the ability to interact effectively with clients. However these skills are difficult to teach and harder still to assess. With little practical experience, employers often place fresh graduates into positions involving only entry-level work and most clients do not want to hire a fresh graduate as their planner.

We stress the importance of internship that provides a platform for the interns to gain practical experience. Our financial planner internship program is deliberately designed as a practice program rather than a mere educational course. Apart from the academic studies, interns will receive hands-on experience in the real-world that cannot be duplicated in the classroom. It is more than “book knowledge.” It will require the ability to apply and synthesize knowledge. The internship program results in better preparedness for future in financial planning.

During the internship process, you can prepare yourself for the CFP program, the whole process would take approximately two to three years. For futher enquiry, please click here to send us an email.
